Soon, one doll became two, and then the island was flooded with hundreds of these dolls as Julián began collecting discarded dolls and hanging them here. He also claimed he heard footsteps, cries and whispers at night. He said he heard the dead girl cry and in a bid to make her happy, he continued to hang more dolls, believing they would keep her ghost at bay.
Though there’s no record of the drowned girl, people suspect Don Julián created his own story or he was haunted by something no one knows about. So, no one knows the truth! (Image: Istock)
