Payal Ghosh recalls Sridevi's cosmetic surgeries and fear of ageing; says, "I was shocked when she said..."

Following the untimely demise of actress Shefali Jariwala, actress Payal Ghosh shared a memory involving the late Bollywood icon, Sridevi. Payal recalled how the ‘Mom’ actress once spoke about her fear of ageing and the lengths she went to maintain her youthful appearance.According to a report by IANS, Payal revealed she met Sridevi in 2017 in a clinic in Oshiwara. As a fan who admired her for her looks and charm, she could hold herself to ask the secret of her beauty. She said, “I asked her about her beauty secret. I was shocked when she told me that she underwent cosmetic surgeries due to her fear of ageing.”Payal Ghosh further said that Sridevi told her that she would starve herself to maintain her weight and look fit. This had a profound effect on Payal, and she stated that she then decided to stop all her skin treatments in 2017, as she said, “I didn’t want my life to be like that.”For the unversed, Shefali Jariwala passed away on June 27. Known for her appearance in the hit song ‘Kaanta Laga,’ Shefali reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest, with police sources suggesting that anti-ageing supplements taken on an empty stomach may have led to a drop in her blood pressure.Payal expressed her concern about the growing reliance on cosmetic treatments among actors. “It’s so sad and unfortunate. These treatments like Botox, fillers, and anti-ageing medicines are harming people. Earlier, it was Sridevi ji, and now Shefali Jariwala. These are shocking and tragic examples of actors losing their lives early.”She added, “Nothing is more important than life. I really hope actors learn from these unfortunate deaths and stay away from such harmful treatments.”
